Where you will stay

Three cottages, each with its own character

El Establo has a panoramic roof terrace above the olive groves. El Granero Viejo has thick stone walls and natural shade. El Jardin Secreto has its own private rock pool, sunbeds and hammock. All three have private areas offering a calm, self-catering base for a peaceful stay, with the heated swimming pool shared from April to mid-November and beautiful communal courtyards and landscaped gardens to enjoy with other guests or extended family.

A rural stay with a little more to it

Walk from the doorstep through the Sierra Gorda. Spend quiet time with the animals. Try gentle riding or children’s pony sessions with rescue horses in small groups . Add mermaid swimming, yoga, enjoy a coffee and churros in the nearby village of Villanueva del Trabuco or take easy day trips to El Torcal, Granada, Ronda, Malaga, Cordoba, Seville, explore the pretty villages and lakes and the coast when it suits you.

The story

June and Clive have run this place since 2000

They arrived from the UK with three young children and a love of animals. Within two weeks they had taken in their first rescue horse. The herd grew, the farm grew with it, and the holiday business began as a way to keep the horses cared for. Everything you see was built by hand, slowly, over twenty-five years.

Where we are

One hour from Malaga Airport

Villanueva del Trabuco sits in the foothills of the Malaga mountains, surrounded by olive groves and wild landscape. Granada, Ronda, Antequera, El Torcal, and the Costa del Sol are all within easy reach. The village is just a 5 minute drive, with numerous bars, restaurants and small shops.
