Self catering accommodation in our two beautiful converted barns, or newly converted loft apartment (all inclusive bed and breakfast, half or full board deals can be arranged for riding or walking holiday guests staying in the apartment)

El Granero Viejo (the old barn)

This pretty little cottage sleeps 4/5 people and has been tastefully restored in old Spanish style to provide you with all the home comforts. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with dvd player (you can borrow dvd’s free of charge from our large and up to date collection), wood burning stove for the winter and gas fire, plus a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a double bedroom with overhead fan and electric panel heater and a shower room with electric panel heater. A spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine floor accommodating two people in single beds (can be made up as a kingsize)
*the upstairs is not suitable for very young children or old or infirm due to the spiral staircase and low ceilings.
Outside there is a patio with table and chairs and gas bbq.

El Establo (the stable)

Newly built in rustic style, this cottage is bigger than El Granero Viejo and has a private courtyard and roof terrace.
The accommodation comprises entrance hall, shower room , kitchen diner , large bedroom with twin beds and room for a third bed or cot, stairs leading to an open plan living room with sofas, wood burner, dvd player, large picture window with stunning views of the mountains, French doors leading to a roof terrace with table and chairs. Master bedroom with w.c and sink, plus a view from the bed through the large picture window to die for! All rooms have electric panel heaters, except for the living room which has a wood burner.
Outside the private courtyard has table and chairs, sofas ,gas bbq and sun beds for private sunbathing.

El Jaral (the hay loft)

Converted in 2011, this stylish loft apartment is ideal for guests wanting a short riding or walking break, with or without meals, with the flexibility of self catering facilities, a private lockable entrance and full use of all of the outside facilities. The accommodation comprises of a cobbled entrance lobby with lockable exterior door leading up a staircase to a small open plan living/kitchen dining area with sofa, table and chairs for up to 4 people, dvd player. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, mini oven, toaster, 2 ring gas hob. There is a shower room and a large bedroom which can either have 2 single beds or a kingsize, plus 2 extra small beds for children if needed .*Note - the apartment has low ceilings in some places

• Children -Extra beds or cots can be added to either cottage for extra children. High chairs, stair gates and baby baths also available.


• There is a washing machine available for guests use.


• Wi-fi access available

 

*Note -there is a discount for booking both cottages. Other discounts are for bookings of more than 2 weeks and for paying the full balance of your holiday at the time of booking.(If booked more than 3 months in advance) We would be happy to discuss special rates for long winter bookings.

Evening meals served in the farmhouse dining room or vine covered courtyard can be provided for guests staying in the cottages if ordered in advance – please ask.

Arrival dates for the cottages are usually Saturday to Saturday but we may be able to be more flexible off peak.

*Minimum stay - we usually stipulate a minimum of 3 nights for all of our accommodation

Weekend or midweek full board riding break

Based on 3 nights accommodation in the El Jaral apartment, with 10 hours riding (hours can be used as required to fit in with any other plans, flight times etc.)

1 week full board riding holiday

Based on 7 nights accommodation in the El Jaral apartment,16 hours of riding (a typical week would consist of a 2 hour ride on your first full day here to get you started gently, gradually building up to longer each day to enable you to experience the full beauty of the surrounding countryside, with perhaps a lunchtime or evening ride to a restaurant, depending on the time of year, a picnic ride, or even a moonlit ride, we will discuss and tailor your holiday to fit in with your other plans).

All meals, snacks and drinks and *airport transfers are included in both of the above riding breaks.(*or you may prefer to hire your own car to explore this beautiful area) The 3 course evening meal with wine is served with us, either in our farmhouse dining room or outside in the vine covered courtyard, depending on the weather, breakfast and lunch is a do it your self affair, with food provided in the apartment for you to eat when you choose.

The price for the riding breaks includes full use of all the facilities including the heated pool.

There is a beautiful heated pool for out of season swimming with extensive terrace area and plenty of sun beds for every one, so whether you are our only guests, or you are sharing your holiday with another family, you will always have your own space. The views from the pool are truly breathtaking and the landscaped gardens and 360 degree mountain scenery gives you the perfect setting for a truly peaceful holiday.

*Note:- In unusually cold winter weather, the pool heater may struggle to function, (it has an automatic frost cut- out which causes the machine to cut off quite frequently if the outside temperatures fall below about 10 degrees) meaning that we cannot guarantee the pool to be heated sufficiently to use, we apologise for this but the weather is beyond our control, though we will always endeavor to provide a heated pool if at all possible. *The pool is closed in December, January and February. *An unheated pool is usually too cold to use outside the months of mid June to early September.

The horses are close by and it is fascinating to watch them interacting in their paddock which can be viewed from the pool terrace. (for non horse lovers - the horses are not near the cottages, they are at the foot of the large gardens)

*Note:- The pool and gardens are tastefully fenced and gated, providing the perfect safe environment for young children. There is a lovely wooden swing combination for children up to about 10 years of age.

The delicious drinking water at the farm is from the nearby mountain spring, which is the source of the Guadalhorce river that runs into Malaga.

Basic essentials are provided in the cottages to tide you over until you can get to the shops and all towels and linen are provided and changed weekly (pool/beach towels are also provided to save you valuable luggage space).*If your flight gets in late, we are very happy to do some food shopping for you, please ask.*All shops are closed on Sundays
